PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
ECOCLEANER NEUTRO is a water-based neutral pH cleaner formulated with active ingredients of natural and plant origin, biodegradable and environmentally friendly, specifically designed for the removal of organic and inorganic surface deposits (e.g. smog, soot, hard water dripping and rust stains, etc.) from compact mineral surfaces commonly used in building cladding or in monuments, including those of historic/artistic interest protected by the authorities.
Thanks to its balanced composition, the product does not alter the appearance or texture of treated surfaces, ensuring an effective and selective cleaning action.
The gel formulation facilitates application of the product, either by brush or spatula, preventing dripping and allowing applications on both smooth (horizontal or vertical) and molded surfaces (e.g., porous surfaces or those particularly prone to dripping), eliminating the need for frequent reapplications required instead by other traditional liquid-form cleaners.

THE ADVANTAGES OF GEL FORMULATION
- SELECTIVE GEL ACTION: The gel has the unique characteristic of working only on the interface of the substrate and dirt, without penetrating into its porosity and/or dispersing around the area to be cleaned (as is the case with liquid CLEANERS); when you go to remove the gel layer before rinsing, it does not get dirty and can theoretically be reusable.
- DIRECT AND PROLONGED CONTACT WITH DUST: The gel formulation allows for direct contact of the cleaner with dirt throughout the application time, so its cleaning action is always of maximum effectiveness.
Conventional liquid CLEANERS, on the other hand, are absorbed, sometimes “passing through” the coating of dirt, run off and dry quickly, requiring the applicator to continually re-wet the surface to be cleaned with the product itself.
When the substrates to be cleaned do not have homogeneous porosity, traditional liquid cleaners do not allow for a uniform cleaning result because the product tends to be absorbed differently: the gel cleaner is not absorbed, so it is able to return a consistently uniform cleaning result. - EASY AND TARGETED APPLICATION AND REMOVAL: Its gel nature allows for targeted application and “unhurried” removal, as it does not tend to spread and/or drip into areas not affected by the cleaning procedure.
Traditional liquid solutions tend to “drip” or “overflow,” thus requiring immediate removal from areas not affected by the cleaning procedure: our gel solution does not have this defect, making it easier to manage during application.
APPLICATION TEST - NATURAL STONE FACADE
Application test of ECOCLEANER NEUTRO carried out on a natural stone architectural element of the façade of the former Court of Cassation building in Rome.
The product was applied precisely using a brush, left to act for 45 minutes, and gently removed with swabs, without damaging the substrate.
ECOCLEANER NEUTRO gives the operator a high degree of control: thanks to its gel formulation, it can be applied to specific, limited areas without the risk of dripping or contamination. It also allows for a high degree of control over application times and, therefore, over the intensity of the cleaning process.
APPLICATION TEST - MONUMENTAL RESTORATION SITE
The application test was performed on a bas-relief carved alabaster slab: these slabs are used to cover the windows at the Votive Temple of Venice Lido, currently a military memorial.
Thanks to the gel nature of ECOCLEANER NEUTRO, it has been possible to:
- Apply the product only to a well-defined area and in a precise manner, without any risk of dripping or contaminating the surrounding areas.
- Check the product’s action time carefully, in this case 60 minutes.
SHOWCASE - MONUMENTAL RESTORATION WORK ON THE VOTIVE TEMPLE AT THE LIDO DI VENEZIA
In this video showcase, we present our new ECOCLEANER NEUTRO, visiting a restoration site at the Votive Temple on the Lido of Venice.
The work carried out by Dr Samanta Borella and her team involved cleaning the alabaster slabs used as windows, using ECOCLEANER NEUTRO. Comparative tests were carried out with other more traditional solutions to determine the best method of application.
