PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
DEFENDER S is a product based on silicone catalyzed resins dissolved in solvent mixture, for the hydrophobic protection of the joints of terraces and balconies. Thanks to its particular composition and to its low viscosity, the product shows a high degree of penetration and an important and deep water-repellent action.
The elasticity of the silicone resins allows the product to hydrophobise also the joints where there is presence of small cracks (not greater than one millimeter of thickness). The water repellent action will prevent water to penetrate into the joints and it will prevent the destruction by frost during the winter and the formation of mould. DEFENDER S does not change the color appearance of the treated materials and does not substantially change its breathability. DEFENDER S also shows a high resistance to UV rays.
THE ADVANTAGES OF DEFENDER S
- EFFECTIVE even in the presence of SMALL CRACKS AND CREVICES: thanks to its ability to penetrate the material and its high water-repellent properties, DEFENDER S is able to work effectively even on flooring with cracks and small crevices, provided they are less than a millimetre wide. Larger cracks and fissures must be repaired before applying the product.
- EASY TO APPLY with a brush or roller: although application with a brush guarantees excellent results, DEFENDER S can also be applied using a short-pile synthetic roller, significantly speeding up the process on large surfaces.
- HIGH RESISTANCE TO UV RAYS: surfaces treated with DEFENDER S do not yellow when exposed to sunlight for long periods of time, unlike other film-forming solutions.
- LONG-LASTING EFFECTIVENESS: DEFENDER S provides protection to treated surfaces for several years, without the need for continuous maintenance and repair of the terrace.
APPLICATION VIDEO - PROTECTED TERRACE KIT
This video illustrates the application of DEFENDER S as part of our PROTECTED TERRACES KIT cycle, which also includes a cleaner. Cleaning is necessary to ensure the best results with DEFENDER S, as dirt or impurities on the surface to be treated would hinder the penetration of DEFENDER S and its water-repellent properties.
